MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL

The fortnightly meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held at the Miramar Town Hall last night. The Mayor (Mr. F. Townsend) presided. The matter of Hutt Road control was again before the meeting, and it was decided to accept no liability. An offer was received of a site for a post and telegraph jetty at .Worser Bay, and an offer for tho boating clubhouse on the land. —The mattor was left in tho hands of the Mayor. An application was made to allow the troops of the Expeditionary Force to travel at ordinary day rates on the tramcars on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.—The request was acceded to.
