CONDUCT OF RESERVISTS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —There has been much gratuitous information given to the Press with regard to the Regular Army Reservists. I also understand complaints have been sent to the Hon. the Minister of Defence. AVe are leaving New Zealand today, for England. I would like the public to understand that we are not as black as we are painted. Many of these old soldiers are leaving this country, and will return, if. all goes well, after the war; and with regard to these men who are returning to Now Zealand, I wish the public to understand that they are excellent characters. _ I do not want them, or other Reservists, judged by the ill-Jjehaviour of one or two. Personally, Ido not care what the public think of me, as I can fight my own battles, but it is not 1 so with tho men. They are judged by prejudiced minds, and have no redress. I' have had charge of those men practically from.tho time they have been called up, and I am proud to say I do not want better soldiers.
