RUSSIAN OFFICER'S ESTIMATE, (Rec. October 8, 6.25 p.m.) .Petrograd, October 7. A Russian officer estimates that the war will not conclude before next June. The winter campaign cannot be of an extensive character. There ■ will be an outbreak of new fury in the spring. The mighty German Army, with the presentment of defeat will assiduously postpone the discussion of peace terms. —("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.)
