ANNUAL MEETING.
(By Tolegrapli.-Special Correspondent.) Palmersten North, October/5 The Mauawatu Hunt Club ha 4 been handicapped by having its kennels at Levin for some time past. The club has now purchased seven acres at Awapuni, and will build kennels there. - A cottage already exists .there for , the huntsman. At the annual .meeting on Saturday the president's report forecasted a likelihood of securing a totalisator permit for the next steeplechase meeting. The finances and membership showed an improvement, and the Hutt branch' accounts, forwarded by the secretary, Mr. Mackie, showed. a credit balance of £45.
