EIGHT-HOTJB, DEMONSTRATION. (Rec. October 5, 9.30 p.m.) ■ Sydney, October 5. In spite of the war, the Eight Hour' Demonstration, was numerically and in emblematic display, equal to the previous year's procession. It included the Premier, Mr; Holman, and many nrominent Parliamentarians. The Theatrical Employees' Union's emblem of a British bulldog'pushing its way past a fierce German soldier at a gate barring the way to Berlin was much appreciated by the-big, crowd in the streets. The sports drew a big attendance.

') Quaya Qull, October 5. . Twenty survivors of the oil-carrier steamer Elsinore have arrived here after being fifteen days on Galapagos Island (730 miles west of Ecquador).
