(Reo. October 5, 10 p.m!) Petrograd, October 4. Details of the'fighting at Ossowiets, in the north of Poland,;show <hat the Germans were unable to use their heavy .guns in the marshy ground. October 6, 0.50 a.m. : * Petrograd, October 5. 'After their defeat at Ossowiets the Germans were hurled back on Gralwo, near the frontier, the road to which was .strewn with corpses. Ossowiets is on the railway running from Bialystok, in Poland, to Lyck, in Prussia. This line is about 40 miles to the west of, and parallel with, thai from Grodno through Suwalki to the Goiman frontier. Ossowiets lies sixteen miles distant from the German frontier.
