ATTACK ON ANTWERP PRESSED
OUTLYING VILLAGES DEVASTATED

The Germans are moving heavier guns nearer to the south bank of the Nethe, whioh lies between eight and nine miles of the city. ♦ . (Rec. Reports from Berlin say the "National Zeitung" states that the German Governor of Brussels insists on the city indemnifying German citizens for damage done to their property before the German occupation, and that the claims already amount to eighty million marks (£4,000,000).
BELGIANS INVITED TO DESERT,
Ostend, October 4. The Germans have placarded Brussels with a proclamation inciting the Belgians to desert, declaring that the Belgians having fully done their duty, further sacrifices on their part would be without purpose.
