THIS YEAR'S CAMPS
ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED. Colonel' Gibbon, Chief of Staff, has concluded a two days' • conference af> Defence Headquarters, with the General Staff officers from Auckland, Canterbury, Otago, and 'Wellington, and discussed with them the training for the present military year. Soine rearrangement of the original plans have been decided on, but tho training of the •Territorials, under tho Defenco Act, will proceed mainly along tho ordinary .lines, iust as if the Expeditionary Force had not been dispatched. The annual camps will be held rather earlier netx year than was the case this year, namely, in March and April, while the casual camps will bo held in May. The next camps will be for regimental units only, as against the last big district camps. All arrangements for tho training year' have now been made, and the general training section will bo well grounded in drill before being callcd on to attend tho camps.
