CRICKET.
THE NORTH CLUB,
_ The fifth annual report of the Wellington North Club . congratulates the club oil again winning the senior championship. The first eleven and Petono wore bracketed for first 1 place, as tliey wore lovol on points, and there was not time to play a deciding match.' The record ivas:—Hatches played, 9; won, 7; lost, 2. C. G. Wilson headed the oatting averages with 45.25 per innings, and T. R. Sonthall was again at the top of the bowling with, an average of 0.3 for 42 wickets.. Tho junior eleven' had a fairly successful season, playing 9 matches, winning 5, losing 3, and drawing one. They gained first place in the B Grade of the junior •■championship. A. R. Barker, headed the batting averages with 30 per innings, and N. Berry the bowling with an average of 10 for 26 wickets. The record and averages of the third eleven were, not available as the score book canhot/be traced. The matter of securing practice , wickets at the Basin Reserve instead of Kelburn Park will require to be' considered by the incoming committee''. The club was represented in Wellington- representative games by -Messrs. C. G. Wilson, J. S. Hiddle-stone, L. F-. Casey, J; Quinn, W. Wagstaffe, and T. R. Southall. WARDELL'S CRICKET CLUB. The annual' meeting of Wardell's Orient Cricket Club was held iii' the Y.M.C.A. Rooms,' Willis Street, on Monday evening, -Mr. G. M'Kay presiding. _ The> balance-sheet, . which showed a small debit' balance from last year, was ■ adopted. The great interest that is being , taken in the club •this season promises well for its success. The annual subscription was fixed at ss. per member, ana it was decided that the team enter the Wednesday _ Junior Competition. A 'practice match has been arranged for next week. , The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President; Mr. H. Wardeli; vice-presi-dehts, Messrs.,. .. Crease,. : OLD BOYS'-CLUB. : The annual-meeting of the "Wellington College Old Boys', Cricket Club was held last; evening, Mr! J. P. Blacklock presiding. It was'announced that 12 ;new members had joined the- club. The election of officers'resulted as follows President, Mr. J. -P. Firth; vicepresidents, Messrs. 11.. C.'.Barnett and W; E.
