MONTHLY MEETING. . The ordinary meeting of tho Welliiig•ton Education Board was held yesterday afternoon. There weri present: The Hon. J. G. AV. Aitken (chairman), Sir .Walter Buchanan, W. Allan H Freeman, AV. H.. Field, A. AV. Hogg, J, Kebboll, T. Moss., ' . The lolioiving works and supplies wore authorised:—Alartinborough, fencing and resklenco improvements,; Waiivawa, subsidy, motallmg, etc.; South AVcllington, change of position of gate: Kongoliolwko, fencing, additional grant , board to provide paint', committee having 'arranged to apply:. I'limmorton, ground improveinonts and drainage sub.; Upper Hutt, outbuildings .; Clyde 'Quay, roof painting; Terrace, new grate. *■• '.. .-, Tenders were accepted as follow:— Eastern flutt, painting, J. and E. Battersby; Eketanuna, erection of bell with necessary concrete, Uoar and Baillie; Kket-ah'una, residence , improvements, Hoar and Bailliej AVaihakeke, residence improvements, B. A. King; Ponatahi, residence improvements, E. A. King: South Wellington, painting roof or woodwork department, Smith- and Smith; board buildings, roof painting, AV. Jenuings; sanitary basins, A. and T.
