The German gunboat Tsingtau was off too "Blind at Canton oh the out break of hostilities, and was entrusted to the chief engineer, as the majority of the crew had gone to Tsingtau. Ono 'morning she disappeared, dropped some guns and ammunition overboard, and returned to the Bund and was sold to a German firm for twenty-two pence. She is now registered as' a merchantman.
