ENGLAND V. ,NEW ZEALAND. To-morrow at the Basin Reserve, at 3 p.m., tho first tost match, England v. New Zealand, in ladies' hockey, will eventuate. The game will bo preceded by a curtain-raiser at 2 p.m., a match between Wellington and Manawatu Indies. Thn following team has been selected by jlr. A. W. Manning (sole selector) to represent New Zealand:—Goal. Miss Arthur (Tarohaki); backs, Miss Birchley (Mnnawatu), Miss Tiinic.y (Wellington); halves, Miss Malcolm (Poverty Bay), Miss Tlabbiflsjo (Southland), Mjsa" Swain (H.awke's Bay); forwards, Miss M'Dqnnell '(Wellington). Miss Kruso (Canterbury). Miss Malcolm (Poverty Bay), Miss'-.Pearce (Canterbury),, Miss Nielsen (Wairarapn). "^ This is regarded as a strong combination, and the team is expected to p;ivo a good account of itself. Messrs. Hodgson and Kuall will control the curtain-raiser between the Wellington and' Manawatu lady, representatives.
