FEDERAL CLUB
The Hon. P. M, B. Fisber presided at the twenty-second annual meeting of the Federal Club last evening. The annual report, which was adopted, congratulated members on the progress of the club. Advantage was taken to express gratitude to the City Council for tho kindly reception they have accorded to the demands 'for improvements made on them from time to time by tho club, and tho satisfactory manner in which they have been carried out. Interesting billiard exhibitions have been given during the yeai by Messrs. T. Recce, A. Taylor, and Miss Ruby Roberts. In connection n'ith Miss Roberta's visit a highly successful ladies' night • was hold, Tho membership ,is 147. Now members elected during the year totalled eighteen. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Hon. F. M. B. Fisher ' (rc-clcoted); vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Doyle, W. A. Fordham,, 0. Rose, and H. G. Smith; committee, Messrs. T. R. Archibald, A. Cohen, O. \V. Jacobson, P. J. Kelleher, W. J. King, E. Metz, A: Minogue, T. H. Morrison, aiid A. N. Robertson; auditors, Messrs, W. S. Jones, A. Tirio; treasurer, Mr. W. S. Young: secretary, Mr. H. R. Searlo (re-elected).
