BOWLING
The Karori Bowling Club opened its Croon in porfect weathei on Saturday. •There was a largo number of visitors arid members present. The ladies attended in good numbers, •■, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. The caretaker, F. Walker, had: tho . green in perfect playing order. The president, Mr. B. Burn, made a short speech, and Mrs. Lower, one of the oldest ladies in Karori, 91 years of age, threw the jack, to much cheering. Mrs. Burn provided tho company with afternoon tea, assisted bv Mesdames M. P. Spiers, W. Cooper. H. E. Dryden. F. Kiln.ister, W. Bradnock, F. A. Dryden. and HI. ss Dryden.
