QUEEN MARY'S FUND
ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE COUNTESS OF LIVERPOOL. Her Exoellency. the Countess of Liverpool desires to announce that she is_ prepared to forward direct to Her Majesty the Queen all Rifts of socks and cholera belts for the troops at present in the field, which the people of New Zealand ■may desire to contribute in response.to the Queen'e appeal, made at the request ill Field-Marshal Earl Kitchener, if directed to Her Exoellency personally at Government House, Wellington, marked "Queen Mary's Fund." It should be explained, states Her Excellency, that as specified articles onlv have been asked for, no money should oil any account be , forwarded. The len£th : of the feet of the socks should bo from 10fr to 11J inches.
