On Monday and Tuesday the Otaki Maori Racing Club's Spring Meeting takes place at Otaki, and, judging by tho acceptances received for the first day's events, tho fixture should provide capital sport. Special train arrangements are advertised. On Monday, excursion trains will leave Thorndon Station for the racecourse at 7.10 a.m., and 8.20 a.m., returning at 5.22 p.m. and 5.45 p.m.. On' Tuesday Wellington patrons of the club will be convejed to tho meeting by a special train leaving Thorndon Station at 8.20 a.m., while the return journey will commence at 5.45 p.m. Tho approach from the railway station to the Otaki racecourse having been laid down in potatoes, the secretary of the Racing' Club earnestly requests patrons attending'the fixture to strictly follow the lino of flags and thereby prevent any interference with the lessees of the property.
