HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
A meeting of the Hutt County Council was held yesterday. Mr. M W. Welch (chairman) presided, all the councillors being present. Tbe rates were made and levied for tho year. These represented Id. in the £1. _ / ■ A special order was framed declaring all the main roads in the county. The county roads declared main roads were as follow:—Tho Great Western Road for its whole length from Paramata to Waikanae; the Great Eastern Road for its whole length from Taita to Rimutaka, exclusive of that portion in the town district of Upper Hutt; the Lowry Bay-Day's Bay Road between Lower Hutt and Eastbourne. It was decided to make use of the service3_ of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board inspectors for looking after county health matters.
