A meeting of the executive of tie Great Britain and Ireland and Belgium Relief Fund was held yesterday morning, Mr. O. P. Skerrett being in "the chair. Various sub-committees' reports were received, showing that depots had been arranged for the receipt of goods that may be douated, and that the proprietors of all tram freight-car depots, as well as the following, Had agreed to receive parcels free of charge:—R. S.Wilson, Post Offico Store, Kelburn; Hayes and M'Kcage, Lower Hutt; M'Ewan and Carter, Petone; Mayor of Onslow (Mr. C. ' C. Crump), Khandallah; Town Board Office, Johnsonville; Eastbourne Borough Council Wharfinger, Rona Bay ; W. Dick, Wellington City Council caretaker, Day's Bay. Offers of free' carriage were also received from Messrs. J. Keir and Co. and H. Innis and Son, Wellington City; M'Ewan and Carter, Petone; and Cunningham Bros., Lower Hutt. In addition to the above, Messrs. Levin and Co.,- Ltd., offered storage accommodation for a central depot, and the Tramway Department have agreed l to carry all goods free on the freight oars. It was decided to acknowledge with 1 thanks the offers of assistance with re-

gard to the receipt and delivery of goods. A draft circular was appioved, making an appeal to the citizens of, Wellington for donations, and this will be printed and circulated within the nest few days. The general secretary (Mr. R. W. Shallcrass) reported that he had been in communication with the Wairarapa district, and that a recognised committee was already in existence there, which : would probably agree to promote the Great Britain, Ireland, and Belgium Relief. Fund. The subject had already been mentioned, and one donation of 500 sheep promised. The movement was also introduced into' Palmerston North and Fielding, where committees are being forined to assist in the movement. A communication was received from tho Tokomaru freezing works stating that they were clearing out their chambers, and desired to give over _ 400 sheep, which it is proposed to ship x by the Kemuera,- in a few days time. A report was also received from Christchurch, stating that £1000 worth of blankets were being' shipped by the Athenic, freight free.
