AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO-MORROW, On Saturday a joint conference of members of both, sides of • the House ivas held to decide what course should be adopted in connection with the General Elections. The Government was represented by the Prime. Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massey), the Hon. TV. Eraser, and Mr. D. H. Guthrie, and the Opposition by Sir Joseph Ward, and Messrs v G. W. Russell and T. M. Wilford. At the conclusion of the conference the only statement mado to the Press was that a definite announcement would be made regarding the date of- the Elections when Parliament assembled to-morrow afternoon. The general impression is that the elections will bo held at the usual time —late in November or early in De» eember.
