ROSS GOLDFIELDS RECONSTRUCTED. The following is tho mine superintendent's report for tho week ended September 10:—No. 6 Level: A blocking strip was commenced off No. 4 east crosscut in order to determine the boundary of the pay wash passed through in No. 7 south drive. No. 7 Level: The west drive has advanced 33 feet, and is now 52 feet from No. 7 platform. The wash coming down from the back during the last few feet of driving is heavior and carries a little gold. Work above No .7 level is being carried on at from four points. Nos. 1 and 2 south-west drives are now clear of old workings, and arc proceeding In pay wash towards the shaft. Two other faces are being worked in old blocks, which can bo probably taken out.
