POPULAR DEMAND FOR ACTION MUST FIGHT ON SIDE OF FRANCE '.„,„,. London, September 15. The "Times" Rome correspondent says that public feeling in Italy is finding tumultuous expression through the syndicalists. At Milan a turbulent meeting demanded intervention on behalf of Franco. There have been patriotic demonstrations at Rome and elsewhere.—("Times" and Sydney 'Sun'" Services.) ■ _ . Rome, September 16. It is officially admitted at Trieste that fifteen thousand soldiers from Trieste and Trent,- mostly were fighting in the first line, and were killed in the recent Galician battle's. ' Petrograd, September 16. The newspaper "Retcli" remarks that Russia and the Allies would willingly see Trent and Trieste become Italian, as a concentration of Austrian troops on the Italian frontier and Austrian interference'in Albania would bo sufficient warrant for* Italy joining the Triple Entente.
