9- : JOTTINGS FROM PROVINCIAL CENTRES. , (From Our 'Special Correspondents.) MASTERTON. A distinct shock of earthquake was felt here at 0.37. this morning A fire'destroyed a building owned by Mr. Bannister, at Kuripuui, this morning. The loss was not very considerable A large quantity of clothing-is being dispatched from here to-morrow to be taken by tho transports to England for tho use of poor people. The annual meeting of members of the Presbyterian Church was held to-night, when the.report and balance-sheet were adopted, and addresses given by. visiting clergymen. Only-one orimuialcase has been set down for hearing at the sittings of the Supreme Court next. week.
