TE RURU YACHT CLUB
The annual meeting of tfho Te Hutu Yacht Club was held in the Tiffin Rooms on Friday evening, the B-ear-Commo-<lbre,/.Mr. F. Kiernan,;. presiding. The report stated that the seaeon just Mosed had been a most successful from eyerj' point of view. A long and varied programme of races was car- ■ ried out, 43 prizes being distributed over 16 boats, whilst on the social side a largely attended picnio on Easter Monday and the annual smoke concert were both great successes. The club finished'the season with a cash surplus of £8 13s. Bd., the total assets being £13 12s. 3d., with no liabilities. The following officers were elected for the coming season:—Commodore, Mr; W. W. Waddilove, F.1.A.N.Z.; vice-commo-dore, Mr. H. Hardham; rear-commo-dore, Mr. H. Elliott; secretary, Mr. Henry V. Batten; raciun; secretary, Mr. J. Webb; 'treasurer, Mr. H. Turner, handicapper, Mr. W. Highet ;.> starter and judge, Mr. Jacobs.
