£10,000 TO BE RAISED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) . pahiatua, August 31. A poll of ratepayers was taken today on the proposal to borrow £10,000 to establish electric light and power works in the borough. A Wellington electrical expert's report has .already been obtained.. The proposal was. carried by a majority of 142 votes. Tho old-established gas works horo aro own l ed by a private company. .
