. J ANNUAL MEETING. The Annual meeting of the Star Boating Club was held last night. Mr. A. S; Biss 'presided over an attendance of about twenty members. The annual report and balance sheet Were adopted. Seventeen new members were elected. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr. H. G. Bell; vice-president, Mr. A. S. Bies; captain, Mr. A. A. Bayfield; deputy-captain, Mr. J. E. Widdop; secretary, Mr. M. A. Turner; treasurer, Mr. W.'C. Harrington; genBral committee, Messrs. R. M. Brewer, C. H. Lawrence, A. W. Newton, H. B. Tomlinson, F. H. G. Galvin, and L. V. . Hulbert; club-house committee, Messrs. Radcliff, W. J. O'Meare,, H. Lawßon, A. J. Mack, 0; Cafr, Wallace, and Eves; match committee, Messrs. M. A. Turner, A. W. Newton, A. D. Bayfield; club race committee, Messrs. Tomlinson, Brewer, and Lawrenson: auditors. Messrs. W. H.
