Cablo advice has been received statins that the, New Zoalond Shipping Company'* Whakatanc arrived at London, from >;yttclton on Tuesday, August 18. The liner left the southern port on Juno 29, callinj at Monte Vidot. on. July 23. The Noi'th:Qerman. Lloyd Line have appointed Messrs. Laugguth and Co., of Auckland, agents for Now Zealand cargo ex ihe steamer Prlnz Siglsmund, which has been detained by the authorities at Brisbans. Consignees ot cargo by the vessel are requested to forward bills of lading and letters of authority to the*' Auckland agents. Produce will be brought to Wellington from Lyttelton by two of the Union Company's steamers this week. The Kowhai is dlie hero.this evening, and the Karamu to-niorrow. Both vessels will proceed to Wcstport on completion, of discharge. Laden with 1652 tons of cargo, and 71 saloon and 74 stcerago passengers, this week a direct boat from Sydney to Wel-lington-tho Manuka—cleared the New South Wales -port at 1 p.m. on. Saturday. Sho should show up hero ataboiit 10 a.m to-morrow. Tho Manuka will not proceed to southern ports and Melbourne this trip but will return to Sydney on Fridav August 28.
