ONSLOW AFFAIRS

Tho fortnightly meeting of the Onslow Borough Council, was held last night. There were present: The Maj'or (Mr. C. C. Crump), and. Councillors B. Lynneburg, J. C. Gardner, . L. A. Browne, Colin Monro,. C. Bowden, Donuld Munro, and R. A. Nicol. A deputation was received from the Kaiwarra Fire Brigade, requesting the council to become guarantors to tho City Council for the brigade, so that it might purchase necessary equipment. TrAftcr a brief discussion, it was decided to grant the deputation's request. It was decided to place the catchment area loan of ■ £1600 with the Public Trustee, on the recommendation of the Finance Committee. t . ■> A request was received by the council for the erection of white panels at dangerous corners on the Gorgo Road. Tho request was refused, though, it was decided to have notices erected marked "Road Dangerous" at tho top aitd bottom of tho road. .
