Scottish Society;; ' j : A dance, organised by the ..Scottish | Srociety of Wellington', was held in St. Pot-or's Schoolroom last e» ening, and, although .several members, bays .joined the ' Expeditionary Force, .it was ■ entirely successful. Excellent musio was provided by Mr. Piatt, and Mr. 'Frost, honorary piper to the society, played the music for the reels, otc. The committee responsible for tho arrangements consisted of the, Chief, Mr. Charles Foster ; Mr. M'Lean,' Chieftain; Messrs., Ballantyne, . Bull -Stewart, M'Lollan. Rogers, Sr,n;lfoi--d, Collins, Frost, and .Long (secretary). The Ladies' Committee was formed by Mesdames Collins, Rogers, Kerr, Campbell, and Furlonger, The M.C.'s wore Messrs. M'Lellan and Collins.', The evening was commenced by the singing of-"God Save the King,". the committee going upon the'stage and commencing the Anthem, in which the whole of those present joined with the utmost enthusiasm. It was quite impressive. The Misses Dorothy and Margery , M'Gregor arrived from Sydney by tho Warrimoo last evening, and are staying at "Balmoral."
