AVIATION IN AUSTRIA
The Austrian military aviation corps was reorganised in 1014, the service being then fornred into a battalion of four companies. Thoro were 24 machines in commission. The companies aro stationed at Vienna, Cracow, Sanlovo, and Gderz. Several "mountain aeroplanes" havo been built. Theso aro of 120 h.p., and havo strong landing chassis. The Servian. Budget' of 1914 was expected to nrovido for sqnding ten , pupils to Franco for the purpose of acquiring skill in aviation. In February of this year Germany •possessed H dirigibles :of which seven were Zeppelin destroyers. Russia, at the same time, had 300 aeroplanes in hand, or to bo shortly delivered. There were in contemplation orders for an additional 200. France' has 330 military pilots, end 130 at the schools learning aviation. Of theso pilots 180 aro military officers. During 1012-13, 577 aeroplanes wero purchased 'for the Army and. 100 additional ordered. In March the British Army possessed 170' military aeroplanes, including those used for tuition purposes,
