HOSPITAL FOR THE NEW ZEALANDERS
LADY LONDON HOUSE. The Prime Minister .referred m the House of Representatives last night to the offer of Lady Islington to place her London house, for ■ hospital purposes, at the disposal of any New Zealanders who might require it. He said' that he would i take care- that the offer was acknowledged, and that Lady lelingtou was 1 thanked on behalf of the people and the 1 Government. . ■ ■ '. Sir Joseph Ward expressed pleasure '. at the action taken by Lady Islington. There was not a person in this country who will not recognise that her. action was a very noble ono. Lord Islington ivas Governor of-this country for. a long time, and carried but his duties to the satisfaction of. everyone, and it was a great pleasure to learn that'he had been appointed to the position , of Undor-Sec-tetary of State for tho Colonies. . ■ Mr. Massey said that he- had r sent a cable congratulating Lord Islington ,on r ',' his appointment. ' ' '
