HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
The monthly meeting of Hutt County Council was held yesterday morniiiß. There were present: Councillors 11. AV. Welch (chairman), J. Wakeham, T. Edwards, J. Whiteman, and W. J. Howell. . Councillor Galloway movqd as follow:— "That the following resolution, which was passed by the , council •at its ordinary meeting held on July 14,.1914, be revoked: 'That the inspector of works proceed .with the erection of danger signals, etc.. , under the motor by-laws.'" The motionwas lost on the voices. In response to the- resnest of the Wei linpfton Golf Club, it was decided to attend to tho formation of a new footpath at Horetaungn. ■ " , ' No action was taken in respect to s. tetter from residents of Normandalo asking the council to participate in tho cost ol street lighting. > Complaint from a ratepayer regarding drains and- drainage at Day's Bay was referred to the health inspector: A letter was received from the Wellington Automobile CI"V asking that the road between Uirper Hutt Town District and the. Lower Hutt Borough be rolled.No action was taken. . It i was decided to hold a special meeting 'of the council on August -24, in respect to tho estimates "and rating for IHI4-1015.
