SUSPECT ARRESTED. : Some weeks ago residents of the cltj jvero somewhat disturbed hv a series of thefts committed from dwellings in and about the city. And ™?? arrested a man named William Uillham, who will Imj clmrced with tho following offences in tho Magistrate's Court to-day— , Ott Hay 29, of breaking and entering, tie dwelling of Augustine Myers and stealing therefrom jewollory; etc> to th« ■value of J23. On Juno.9, breaking and entortintr the residence of Percy AVulter Wood, at Wellington, and stealing therefrom articles to the valjw of £1 ss. On Juno 9, breaking and 'enteral" the dwelling of Frederick Win. Fisk, and uteahng jewellery to the value of j>4s. On the same date, breaking and entering tho hoiise of Wilfred Talbot and* stealing jewellery to the value of JtZb. On June 23, breaking and entering the dwelling o{ Lillian Donovan, at Kilbirnie, and stealing jewellery, etc., valued at £i> ss. On Juno 28, breaking and entering the dwelling of Win. Raine., ■ and stealing jewellery, etc., valued at ,£SO. . On July 13, at Island Bay, breaking and .entering tho dwelling of Alexander Laurenson, imd stealing jewellerj to the value 6f.i13G.105. •.-■■' He will also' be charged with breaking and entering the residence of the, Kev, Mr. Brainsby in John Street and eteal-.ing-some property. The police aro in possession of somi of the stolen property mentioned above.
