The total value of Greater Wellington prior to the last re-valuation'(of the old part of the city) was .£18,754,349; made up as follows-.—Unimproved, ,£10,106,365; improvements, £8,652,262. There are a good many objections to the new valuations, and in computing the proposed Tate demand 10 per cent, has been allowed off the amount represented to bo the .value of the newly re-valued portion of the .city. .
