KEEPING VESSELS AT SEA.
BRITISH GOVERNMENT OFFERS INDUCEMENTS. ■ SPECIAL WAK RISK SCHEME. (Rec. August 6,1.10 a.m.) Mr. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) announced ?n' of Commons tnat the Government had adopted a war risk scheme which has beon prepared by a sub-committee of the Imperial Defence Council, to encourage ships to keep to sea to preserve the food supply. It operates to-monw. The Council'has beon incorporated as an association. ,London and Irish' millers have endorsed the Government statement that there are'ample supplies of grain, and there is no occasion to, pay panic prices in the immediate future.
