Ships arriving in the Tyne declare that a battle is proceeding off Flamborougli Heads, Yorkshire Promontory, oil the East Coast of. England, between French and German,fleets. ' ■ < (Uec. It is reported that the Montenegrins are bombarding Cattaro, in Herzegovina, at the head, of the Gulf of Cattaro, in tho Adriatic Sea. (Bee. August 6, 0.10 n.in.) - i St. Petersburg, August i. Russia officially contradicts the reported dostruction of'-the cruiser Lilian (? Lieutenant llyin). It is stated that only a few shots were fired, and no casualties are reported. [No Russian cruiser named Lilian is shown in the published lists. It ia possible the vessel referred to is the torpedo gunboat llyin, a small craft of 711 tons, built nearly thirty, years ago.] v
