MUNICIPAL OFFICERS' CONCERT

The Wellington Municipal Officers' Association held a,successful concert in the Town. Hall Concert Chamber last evening. A number of , . City ; Councillors were present, and.the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) attended later in the. evening " ■••■■■• : •■''•/■' ';■'■ ' : .•The programme submitted was of a varied and interesting nature and practically all the performers had to , respond to a recall. Items were contributed'by. the following: Misses ",Ey'a Smith, Gladys Watkins, Eileen, Driscoll, Cara Denhard, Freda Walter, ahd Messrs. Phipps, Cameron, Dawson, Dunn, Mohr, Lunt, Lute, Hamerton, Eiby, and Allwright. The accompanists were Miss Gladys Watkins and Mr. Bruno Walter. .

The profits from the 'concert are to go to assist the cricket sports funds of the association and as there, was/ , a. large attendance these funds should'bo considerably augmented.
