RAILWAY CONVERSATION.
Two life-long-friends were sitting in a railway carriage' talking as they travelled. One, a tailor by trade, had for ■many months previously, suffered froni <i relaxed'throat, caused by .constant smoking. In addition,'.his breathing tubes were affected, and much Mocked by phlegm each morning on waking. For-, tunately, he had found a cure. His friend, a watchmaker, was less fortunate. .Even, then he'was more or ; less choked by cold-and phlegm: His voice was thick' and stuffy—the nasal- passages were too filled' to admit ■ clear breathing.; Said the tailor: "See,..old. chap,,you get ■«%. bottle of the stuff that fixed me up. It's great." "What is .it?" . , ' "Well, it. is simply Hean's Essence. I'm a single mail, as you know, but I took d. bottlo home, and my landlady broke' it doftn with water and sweetening, and then put if into two good-sized bottles for me. One I left in myjooni, the other I took to-the shop and nut it in. my scat. When I -first got it my throat, and • tubes and nose were, ail pr-etty bad. and had been s=o for.a long time; but.having a.supply both at home and at work, I was able to fake a dose as. often as I wanted to. I tell von, Prank. Hean's Essence is great. ' Each time T quietly sipped a dose, or gargled my throat with it, I got a sense of warmth and comforting relief that was just all right.
"Anyway, the mixture gave me so much case ami proved such a comfort that T/fim confident you will be ns well satisfied ivith.it ns I was. My old.doctor used to say Hint I had catarrh «f the. nose and throat, but whether I. had or not, there is no trace of it now. Jean's Essence certainly fixed me no. Resides, old clinn, look at its wonderful cheapness. A Tjoltle of ordinary, conrh mixture at oighteenrience a time used >o last me no time. Take.niv tip, and trv it;" -■>.■■■ ' The above is a Irue report of a conversation that actually occulted recently in n railway carriage'. The tailor's experience is duplicated: in hundreds and thousands of cafes of coughs, rolds. a"d catarrh all orcr•'Aiistrnjn.aja.
