SPLIT IN DUNEDIN LABOUR CIRCLES. • (Bx Tel«eraDh.-Preeii A-ssoetaUcraJ ' Ounedin, July 25. At"d;;meetingi.'of ''the iCoitiial Workers' Union the following resolution was carried:—"That, in view of the national constituents' adopted by the Federation of Labour and'the S"ocial"Dem6cratio Party, this union is of opinion that before the Otagb Labour Council'calls for nominations for seats at the general election some serious, consideration should have been given to linking up with both national parties; therefore, as a union which has just affiliated with the Otago Labour Council, wo refuse to take part in .the said nominations, or in any way to countenance their action, which strikes at every root and foundation of Labour's solidarity in New' Zealand; furthermore,- we' instruct our, secretary _to give notice to withdraw our affiliation from the council, and to ask other unions to follow suit, so that sectional action; either on the industrial or the political field, will receive once and for all the severest reprobation."
