In the course nf an interview, he expressed surprise at the progress the city had made. He found 'the street car system a little difficult' to understand. In America tho carsi stopped at all street corners where required, out here one might have 1 to walk a block or or two to the regular; stopping-places. At about 9 p.m. a rather eldjerly woman named Matilda Wilde stepped from a car as it was pulling up op.pcisite to Kclburn Ayenue, aim without allowing for .the momentum of "the car, stnnnpd down, and was thrown somewhat' forcibly to tho ground, bumping her head rather heavily .on the wood-blocks.
