TAXI-DRIVER FINED. Christchurch, July 24. As the result of a collision between a motor-car and a motor-cycle on July 5; on the New Brighton Road, when a gul passenger on the side-car of the cycle had a leg and thigh broken, John Whitty was before the Court to-day charged with having failed to stop after the accident. Complainant alleged that the defendant was on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred, and had no lights. ' Mr. F.':F. Munro, who has now taken up his residence in Wellington, still occasionally visits Westport.He has resigned the chairmanship, but retained,his membership on the board. Mr. J. H. Greenwood, deputy-chair-man, was elected chairman, and Mr. H. Gillen, deputy-chairman.
