MR. ALEXANDER WATSON'S RECITAL.
Mr. Alexander Watson, England's famous reciter, is announced to give a short series ' of recitals in the Town Hall Concert Chamber, commencing next Saturday evening! August 1. Two years ago Mr. Watson paid his first visit to these shores,* but the success of that season is stated to have been eclipsed by his achievements during his present season. Hβ has delivered 46 recitals in Melbourne alone, and his .concluding Melbourne. entertainments in the.auditorium and Town" Hall created 1 a record, both 1 in tho attendance and in the numbers turned away; whilst his two Bendigo recitals were delivered ■to the houses in which practically every seat had been booked in' advance. Mr. Watson is now in tho midst' of a successful season in-Dunedin. Tho box plans will be on , view a't the DreEeden on Tuesday morning. .
