A stron"; protest was entered by Mr. J. W. M'JSwan at yesterday's mcetinir of the Hospital and Charitable Ai3 Board against the number of committee meetings that wero held in connection with the conduct of tlio board's affairs. "The Harbour 13oard," said Mr. M'Ewan, "manages its business very well, and does not bold a tenth of the number of committee meetings that do. I would suggest that this is a matter for the Policy Committee to go into." The chairman (tlie Uov. W. A. Evans) promised that the committee named would look into the matter.
