'An inquest was held this "morning concerning the death of James Dunnett, who was severely burnt at Owaka on July 10, and died at Dunedin Hospital on Saturday. He had 'Hved by- himself in a tent. His own statemeat was that tho tent was burned "down, but this was not so. Potatoes were found' in a fire at which lio cooked his meals, and it is supposed he. had a seizure and fell into tho fire.. Deceased was a siugle inan, 3G years of age. He came from Scotland, and it is believed had no relations in New Zealand. The verdict was in accord with the medical testimony that death was due to septic absorption and shock arising from severe burns. The Coroner added that there was no evidence'to show how the accident occurred.
