ANOTHER BURGLARY
HOUSE IN KELBTIRN ENTERED. Still another case of burglary is reported ill tlie'City—this time at the residence of Mr. W. G. Talbot, Plunkst Road, Kelburn. Tlie occupants of the house had been absent for some time, and on returning the house ivas found in a state of great disorder,, every drawer, cupboard, and corner in-the house having boon ransacked, and. the contents littered all over the Tooms. Tho pockets of all the clothes in tlio wardrobes, etc., had been searched, but tho thief did not get very much for his trouble; ' His objective apparently was money and jewellery, as none of the silver in the house was missing. A few edds 'and ends which were in a jewelcase on the dressing-table were stolen, but fortunately for tho owner the major portion of the jewellery had been removed from the jowel-case. The burglar apparently had some difficulty in getting into the" house. . First of all an attempt had beon made to saw a hole in the door, but the thief apparently found the task too laborious, and so lie effected an entrance by breaking a window near the fastener, after which entrance was easy. -
