MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Mr. J). G..A, Cooper, S:M., V presided over Saturday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court. George Brougliton pleaded, guilty to a charge of being a l'ogne and ft .vagabond, in that; bo was found by night on private premises without lawful excuse. He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. For a similar offence to the above, John Williamson was sent to gaol for one month, aud Sydney Hayward .was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. For creating a breach of the. peace in Vivian Street, Edward Robertson and Alfred Brickoll were each fined 10s. Elizabeth Murray, William Marshall, and Peter Crossby wero each fined -10s. for insobriety. Two first.offenders wero fined 10s., and eight others were convicted and discharged.
