July 17, 9 p.m.) ' ■»■ ~ v .Sydney, July 17. : Mrs. Ada Norton,.wife of Mr. John Norton, the .well-known newspaper proprietor, has lodged a petition for divorce, alleging adultery with a woman named Pannett. ■ At the preliminary hearing of tho case, Mrs. Norton secured an order of tho Court for the interim custody of the seven-year-old daughter of the marriago, who, according to applicant's affidavit, had with her governess disappeared. It is alloged that the object of the disappearance is to removo the child from the jurisdiction of tho Court. ..'.".
