President Huerta handed his resignation to the Chambor of Deputies,-who referred tho resignation to "a" Committee, which was empowered to take action thereon. SENOR. CARBAJAL SWORN IN. (Rec. July 16, 10 p.m.) Mexico City,. July 16. Both Houses accepted President Huerta's resignation. Senor Francisco Carbajal was sworn in as President. He afterwards drove to the National Palace, where lie was greeted with tumultuous cheering. AMERICAN FORCES REMAIN 'AT VERA CRUZ. Washington, July 16. Tho State Department hardly conceals its satisfaction at Huerta's resignation. It is expected that Senor Caibajal will make 'satisfactory arrangements _to hand over office to the Constitutionalists when General Carranza roaches the capital. The American forces are remaining at Vera Cruz until a settlement is reached. MARCH ON MEXICO CITY. El Paso, July 15. • General Villa has arranged to start a march on Mexico City within a week. A force of fifteen thousand men has been collected. . General Obregon announces that tho forces will be able to move southward in a. few days. * Senor Francisco Carbajal was Minister for Foreign Affairs in. Huerta's Cabinet, and it was indicated in a previous message that Carbajal would give way to a Provisional President acceptable to the Constitutionalists. ■ ,
