; : « THE 1909 AGREEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyiight London, July 15. In the House of Commons, Mr. R. Hunt (Unionist) questioned Mr. Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty) as to why the Admiralty had failed to carry out the 1909 naval agreement. 3\(r. Churchill referred Mr. Hunt to his 'statement on introducing tlio Navy Estimates, and added that it was impossible to deal with important issues at question time. Mr. Hunt asked whether Australia and New Zealand would not bo. driven to seek the protection of ahotlieir white race unless agreements were fulfilled. Mr. Churchill said ho could not admit that the Admiralty had failed to keep agreements,' nor that if there was any difference of opinion it would be likely to alter relationships. ! RESERVES MOBILISED. London, July 15. At a-test mobilisation of tho Naval Reserve, 16,000 men mustered! Tho 493 ships in Home waters are fully commissioned. Of this number 216 will assemblevfor tho Spithead "review.
