STRONG COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press' Association—Copyright London, July f4. There was very strong competition for good wools, and prices were very firm at . receut rates. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company,' Ltd., has received the. fallowing cablegram " from its. London house, under date July -14:—"London Wool Salos.—As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are- about 5 per cent, higher for fins scoured crossbred, merino, and line greasy crossbred, lambs' merino, and fine crossbred slipe; about 5 per cent, lower for crossbred lambs, coarse, scoured crossbred, coarse crossbred slipes, medium crossbred slipe; medium scoured crossbred, aud about par to" 5 per cent, higher for medium greasy crossbred, Thcro is good, all-round competition." PRICES RFEALISED.
