Martin, reported that the. total gate receipts at the Wellington v.: England match ' amounted to'£2sß 13s!, Tha Wellington ■ City Council's share amounted to £38 16s. • general.expenses, £5 14s:; and the , . English team's share, 65 per cont., having a net'balance and profit to the Wellington league of- £58 14s. 6d ' In drder to give tho public better opportunities! of witnessing the League game, it was decided to try'and arrange to liavo a cup match played at the Basin Reserve next Saturday, ' and to make a charge for admission. In'regard to • the Hawke's Bay ' League's request for a date/for a match against Welington, at Wellington, it was dccided to reply stating that August" 8 was .the only date available. ' On the motion of Mr., Kerr it was de-' cided to writo thanking the Wellington Football Association for\'postponiiig all Association matches- on the occasion of the Wellington-JSngland match . ■ Some''disoussion ensued- regarding " rumour? circulated that the League was accepting players into its ranks who had been, disqualified from the > Rugby ■Onion. ,It\was pointed out by the sec---rotary (Mr; S. firice) that on no occasion had the League accepted any disqualified Rugby men, ns a clause in- the New Zealand League Council's rules was^ very, definite on this, point A motion was carried to thb cffcct that all players who apply to the Rugby .IJnion for reinstatement be called before the League to explain their actions. In connection wtih. the Wellington v. ' Canterbury senior representative match, to be played at Christchurcli on July 25, it was decided to play a Wellington v. Canterbury . junior . represontativo match as a curtain-raiser to the senior game. The two teams to make the trip ' will be picked at the meeting of the ' League nejet Saturday. The following are the fixtures for nest Saturday:— . Senior.—Newtown v. Suburbs, at Basin Roservo (Mr. Barber); Athletic v. Petonel at Petono (Mr Kerr). _ Junior.—Suburbs B v. Pctone B, Hutt Grouhd. No. 1 (Mr. R. Proebstil); Hutt ' : A v. Potone A, Hutt Ground,- No. 2 (Mr, H, Hey). -_
